My Story
I am a first generation student originally from East Los Angeles, CA. I was raised in an immigrant household and embraced by a mixed Salvadorian and Mexican heritage. I obtained my bachelors degree in Film Studies with an emphasis in Production, from Pepperdine University.
As a storyteller, I aim to elevate voices from underrepresented communities. Throughout my upbringing, it was embedded in me to keep my head down, work hard, and to recognize the potential I have to accomplish all that I wish to achieve, if I move in silence. All in all, I was taught to uphold a strong work ethic so that it may always speak for itself.
At Pepperdine, I’ve learned to value my unique prerogatives and experiences for the contributions I brought to a classroom discussion. I began to nurture my voice and rose up to leadership positions employed as a Shift Lead. In the latter, I continued to exercise my voice within my community and have gone as far as to become a founding member of Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc. -the FIRST Latina based sorority on campus. In my pursuits of becoming a professional, I am determined to continue my legacy of impact within the entertainment industry.
